Disclaimer: All the products in this review was received from free from Influenster, however all opinions are my own.
Influenster is an online program where you participate in surveys and earn badges and in return you become eligible for vox box which are filled with different full size products that companies send for free so that participants can use them and review them. I absolutely love this online program and have gotten to try so many different products from them ranging from Covergirl to Kat Von D. This is the first time that ELF participated in a VoxBox and I was one of the recipients.
I have used ELF products in the past and there were a couple of items in this box that I have tired before. However, there were a couple products that I have not tired and I was super excited to try their skincare item. ELF recently came out with skincare products and I have been on the fence about trying them but I am glad that I finally got the chance to try it out.
The first item that I tired out was the Mineral Infused Face Primer. I had previously used an ELF primer which was a tone adjusting primer and I used the green one which I really liked. This primer I did not like as much as the other primer. It worked well as a basic primer but I find it did not really fill pores or do anything else besides keeping my makeup on for a longer period of time.
The Hydrating Bubble Mask was the product that I was most excited to try, as I love bubble masks. This one came with a nice pump, which I found it was a bit hard to get the product out. The mask smelled pretty nice, however the scent was not extremely overwhelming. The product was thinner compared to the other bubble mask that I have tired in the past. At first I did not expect much from the product since when I rubbed the bubbles down, the product just came off of my face. Surprisingly, once I removed all the product my face felt extremely soft. I have only used this product once, so I am not sure of the long term benefits of this product.
One of the items that I have tired before and actually own another color of is the ELF Matte Lip Color, the color that I got in the VoxBox was Wine and the other color I own in Praline. I did a full view of this product before and it can be found here, but I love the color Praline and I absolutely love the color Wine as well. They are easy to wear lippies and the only downside is that they do not last very long.
The lip exfoliating scrub is one that I have always wanted to try out but never manage to get my hands on it. However, I never saw this type of lip exfoliating scrub, it was a mint flavored one. My lips have always been dry and I find it extremely tedious to constantly put on layers and layers of lip balm. I really enjoyed this scrub, it easily removed all the dead skin from my lips and the mint flavor added a tingly sensation. After using this product my lip felt extremely smooth and soft.
The next item in the box was a bronzer and highlighter duo. I was extremely excited to try out this product since I am a huge fan of both bronzers and highlighters, however I do feel disappointed. The highlighter shade is pretty and does provide a nice glow. On the other hand, the bronzer is extremely disappointing, the shade was not very pigmented and it took about seven swipes before I was able to swatch it decently on my arm. There were also sparkles in the bronzer shade which I am not a fan of at all. I will likely continue to use this product but only for the highlighting shade.
Overall, I am extremely glad that I got to try out this box and see some of the new products that ELF has released. Definitely check out Influester if you have not already!
